Catherine Tyldesley teases Corrie’s possible reappearance

Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley could make a shocking comeback in the ITV soap opera.

The actress played fan favorite Eva Price on the show until 2018, but said she could be back on the show someday, as she spoke about it in a conversation with Andi. Peters this morning.

Since leaving the ITV soap opera, Catherine has starred in a number of acting roles and will appear on ITV’s All Star Musicals this Christmas, but she hasn’t ruled out a return to the cobblestones one day as she called the series a “second home” to her.

Cath played Eva Price for several years in Corrie

Speaking to Andi Peters on ITV’s Good Morning Britain with Lorraine, she said: “Eva is in France, yes, eating chopsticks. Of course I would go back. Never say never, i really like doing different things right now.

“Next year, luckily, is shaping up to be pretty busy for me after baby, but never say never because Corrie is such a special place. It was a home from home for seven years and I love everyone there -low.”

She added, “The writers are amazing. So never say never!”

When Catherine left Coronation Street, she confessed that it was the “right time” for her to go.

“For me it was just the right time to go. I think everyone has their own point of view and stuff, I can’t speak for everyone,” she said. “I had been there for seven years and wanted to have a little more time with my family and work on projects.

“I guess some of the other people leaving, their reasons could be similar, I’m not sure. Anyone I know who is leaving or has left, they have nothing negative to say about it.”

In 2018, Catherine opened up about how long shifts at Corrie took a toll on her personal life.

“It was 7am to 7pm everyday at Corrie,” she said. “These are the times in your life that you will never return from. I love spending more time with my little boy now.”

Admitting that she was crying before filming her last scenes, she added, “These are emotional scenes, so when the camera stopped I kept crying. A complete mess.

“My sisters were with me and Sam Robertson and Richard [Hawley] so that was nice. “
