Donna M. Treese, 83, of Quarryville, died Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Lancaster General Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of the late Garland E. Treese, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage at the time of her death in 1995.
Born in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Leroy M. and the late Verna Mae (Horton) Waite.
Donna was a graduate of Willamsburg Community High School, class of 1956. After high school, Donna married Garland and they started a family. Once her children were older, Donna went back to school and got a real estate license. After working in real estate, Donna found employment in the commercial insurance industry with Devco Mutual Association, retiring after several years.
Every summer, Donna liked to plant a flower garden in her home. She was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother to her family.


She is survived by one son, Garland Treese, husband of Laura, of Quarryville; one sister, Evelyn Forsythe, of Warrior’s Mark, PA; grandsons, Cameron Bevan, husband of Jennifer, and Garland Treese, husband of Lindsay; granddaughters, Shelby Voorhees, wife of Steve, and Lauren Husbands, wife of Miles; and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Matthew, Sean, Olivia and Dawson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Anita Warner, brothers, Sheldon, Harold, Melvin, John, Leroy and Norman Waite, and a sister, Peggy Metz.
The services will be private. Private interment will be in Royer Cemetery, Williamsburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
