ECHO Housing appoints new management team


EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – ECHO Housing Corporation has announced the appointment of two executives to newly created positions: Savannah Wood as Managing Director and Erik Tilkemeier as Chief Operating Officer.

A press release indicates that Wood has worked for ECHO Housing Corporation since 2018 in various roles, most recently as Deputy Director where she oversees the policies, procedures and staff of six federally funded homeless service programs. . While at ECHO Housing, Wood participated in the Leadership Everyone program, as well as the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority’s Next Generation Leadership Academy and Strategic Management for Community Development Executives course.

According to ECHO Housing, Tilkemeier was most recently director of economic and urban development for the City Heights Community Development Corporation (CHCDC) in San Diego, California. He has a background in real estate development, property management, affordable housing, economic development and running community development corporations. Tilkemeier also led pre-development planning for 117 affordable housing units and 15,000 square feet of community retail space, helped double the organization’s funding and impact from 2019-2022, and advocated for housing policies. equitable at local, regional and state levels. , and at the federal level.
