Good Morning Britain saw Susanna Reid host the ITV breakfast show for eight years, starting in 2014.
Viewers have grown accustomed to seeing her every morning, so many were shocked today (April 25) when they tuned in to find her absent from the show.
Typically she is joined by Richard Madeley or Ben Shephard after Piers Morgan quit the breakfast show in March 2021 in a row for refusing to apologize for comments he made about Meghan Markle.
There’s no need to panic though, as the news anchor will be back and she’s still a part of the show.
This week, she is participating from a very different place as she interviews refugees from Ukraine in Poland.

Susanna Reid may not have been on the couch this morning, but she was still on the show.
In a special broadcast, the presenter was seen Medyka in Poland, reporting live on the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
Reid participated in heartbreaking interviews in which she spoke directly to those affected by war.
Families and children were interviewed, revealing the devastating human effects of the Russian war.
She also spoke with war activist David Morrisey and former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko.
When will Susanna Reid be back on GMB?

It’s unclear exactly when Reid will return to the UK, although she is expected this week.

Richard Madeley was left alone in the studio, but the pair communicated regularly throughout the show as the war in Ukraine was the biggest story of the morning.
Reid was still a co-anchor, though she wasn’t involved in stories that didn’t involve the Ukraine crisis.
As such, news of Emmanuel Macron’s re-election in France was covered by Madeley, only.
It’s unclear if Madeley will be alone on the couch all week or if Ben Shephard will step in to replace him.
* Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV
