Hertfordshire’s Jurgen Klopp lookalike who ended up on ITV’s GMB and Lorraine after England win

England’s sensational victory over Germany on Tuesday (June 29th) was the clear talking point of the week.

But one hilarious upcoming video from the game, which went viral shortly after the match ended, was of a Jurgen Klopp lookalike celebrating with fans outside Wembley Stadium.

Anyone who knows a bit about football can tell you where the famous Liverpool manager is from and it is quite possible that Germany’s 2-0 loss to England made him more angry than happy.

The lookalike, known as Cheeky Jurgen, has managed to deceive a number of people with his resemblance to spit, but the Hertfordshire joker may need to work on his accent.

Cheeky Jurgen was featured on Good Morning Britain after his hilarious video was shared on social media – and he even managed to prank a GMB presenter live on ITV.

Dressed in a full Liverpool tracksuit, complete with the Klopp branded cap and specifications, the lookalike was pictured on the shoulders of supporters, drinking from a can in the streets outside the famous stadium as he sang the English anthem “Football’s Coming Home”.

The man behind the act is Ray Cromwell, who has understandably been all over the back pages of the newspapers since the famous victory.

Videos of him celebrating with English fans as he was worn by fans after the victory have also circulated on the internet.

The next day however, ITV reporter Jonathan Swain told GMB that among the fans he had met was Jurgen Klopp, but he was actually cheated by the lookalike.

He said: “As I entered the stadium last night I also met Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, of course he is German.”

Unbeknownst to him, this was not the real Jurgen and people across social media quickly picked up on the reporter’s mistake.

According to Mirror Online, Mr Cromwell is a father of three and a fan of Millwall who runs a successful property development company in Bloomsbury, central London.

He also reportedly owns a hotel in France and runs a chain of Mexican restaurants.

“I am a self-made man who comes from very humble beginnings in South East London,” he said.

“You could say I’m very successful, but what gives me great joy and satisfaction is being Cheeky Jurgen. I love it.”

He also revealed that the idea of becoming a Klopp lookalike came from his seven-year-old granddaughter, Annabella, who kept asking him why he was always on TV when Liverpool aired.
