Atwater, Calif .– Judy Woods, loving wife, retired mother, sister, grandmother, grandmother and real estate agent from Atwater, Calif., Passed away on October 2, 2021; she was 81 years old. Judy was one of six children born to Beatrice Lorraine (Hardie) and Daniel Wayne Mihalovic on December 21, 1939 in La Crosse, WI, where she would spend most of her life. Her high school years were spent at Central High School, where she would meet, and ultimately marry, the love of her life, William E. “Bill” Woods. She worked alongside her husband Bill, first managing apartments and then a mobile home community. She finally got her real estate license. Judy was also a ceramic instructor and a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers. She and Bill even co-owned the Packers. Judy and Bill moved to Atwater, California in 1976, where she continued to work as a real estate agent. She loved to cook, bake and deeply love butterflies. She was a life member of the VFW. Of all those things that made up Judy Woods’ life, above all else, she loved her family and made everyone who entered her home felt like part of her family. She instilled in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren a sense of pride, a strong work ethic, the need to communicate and, most importantly, a genuine love for life and all that it has to offer. to offer.
Judy was predeceased by husband Bill in 2016 and brother La Monte Mihalovic in 2020. She is survived by her son Randy (Donna) Woods; daughter Brenda (Raymond) McMillan; brothers Daniel D. (Sandra) Mihalovic, Darryl Mihalovic, Steve Mihalovic and sister Sue (Dan) Calloway; grandchildren Kristin (David) Rocha, Cierra (Joshua) Fabrigas, William W. (Samm) Woods, Trevor (Melanie Simons) Sesser and eleven great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday October 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Winton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Winton VFW 7792, PO Box 4, Winton, CA 95388.
