Media heir Randy Hearst marries at family Hamptons estate

It was the society wedding of the summer.

King Randolph Hearst – who goes by Randy and is the great-grandson of newspaper baron William Randolph Hearst – wed Paula Porubcanova last week in a lavish affair in the Hamptons.

We’re told the couple had a ceremony in front of 140 well-heeled guests, including philanthropist Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, Baroness Milly de Cabrol, Kimberly and Steve Rockefeller, Sharon Bush, whiz pr R. Couri Hay and former US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross and his wife Hilary.

The chic event took place at Ashgrove Farm – the Hamptons estate of the groom’s mother, Anne Hearst, and stepfather, “Bright Lights, Big City” novelist Jay McInerney.

Randy’s father is King Harris.

The bride walked down the aisle in Monique LHuillier with “embroidered lily of the valley,” a spy says, further describing it as a “strapless princess style that was nipped at the waist with a green ribbon.”

The source tells us the couple said “I do” under a 16-foot-tall white floral arch against the property’s lily pad and koi pond.

We’re told Randy’s sister-in-law Amanda Hearst, who just gave birth to her first child with Joachim Rønning a few weeks ago, toasted via video while holding baby Hawk.

McInerney also toasted.

Alison Mazzola of Alison Mazzola Communications planned the event which featured “Slovak traditions” for the bride – like little dolls on guests’ plates, blue and white flower arrangements, a 16 piece band, napkins monogrammed and a separate dessert attempts to offer confections ranging from “artisanal” New York cheesecake to apple strudel.

Ashgrove Farm suffered a fire in 2019, with a fire tearing through the 11,000 square foot home designed by architect Peter Cook. Our source tells us that it has been largely rebuilt, but large murals of farm animals have been installed to cover some ongoing construction.

There were also real animals: guests were able to see chickens, miniature ponies, donkeys and an emu from the estate.

The following evening, guests including Lorraine Bracco and Robert Zimmerman head to the campfire on the beach to enjoy s’mores, clams and lobster. We hear female performers do an elaborate fire dance, with one participant joking “it sounded like a fertility ceremony.”
