Women in IT Awards Ireland finalist list unveiled


List of finalists for this year’s Women in IT Awards Ireland, which will take place on December 7, 2021, has been announced

The Ireland edition This year’s Women in IT Awards will be presented at an online ceremony on December 7, with the aim of recognizing advocates, role models and allies who seek to break down barriers for women in the IT industry. technology.

The ceremony will be the fourth and final awards ceremony in the series for 2021, following the UK and we editions, which started in June and earlier in September respectively, with the Asia event taking place in October.

Women make up less than 40% of the total global workforce, according to a World Bank report, and although various organizations are performing better, hiring better talent, and having more engaged employees, women remain largely under -represented in IT roles.

These numbers demonstrate the need for continued recognition of women in technology and their successes, which the Women in IT Summit and Awards Series has sought to facilitate since 2015.
